Papelle is a new take on a classic "hollander" paper pulper — a machine that has traditionally been used in atelier paper mills since the 17th century.

With smart design features that improve fibrillation efficiency and optimize user experience, Papelle modernizes the papermaking craft. When designing this unique project, I envisioned a future where the regenerative, intentional creation process is brought into artists' homes and small-scale studios. There is no product like this that's currently commercially available.

Papelle's revival of hand papermaking inspires environmental activism and individual creative fulfillment.
