Canopy

ABOUT

Canopy is a ceiling fan inspired by the concept of "flat-packing."  To ship furniture with minimal risk of damage requires a lot of packaging material, which is inconvenient to consumers and environmentally unsustainable. With Canopy, my goal was to condense as much of the product as possible into a small package to benefit the manufacturer, consumer, and planet.

For this quick design-for-assembly project, I focused on manufacturability, packaging, and creating an instruction manual.

CNC Instruction pamphlet frontside_edited.jpg

Four sections fold into a pamphlet that would be included with the product. I've incorporated illustrations of the included parts, graphics, and a logical layout that follows the flow of the directions.

Creating and printing these instruction pamphlets was great practice for UI / UX.
